Zarah is a medical herbalist and aromatherapist based in the Tavistock area of West Devon. Combining her lifelong fascination of nature, people and plants, she offers integrity, compassion, and dedication to her patients. True holistic principles are applied to her work throughout.
During initial consultation and follow-ups, great care is taken listening to patients, together we then gain understanding of what is needed for you to gain better health. Skill, care, and consideration is used for selecting and blending herbs for your specific medicine. Health can often be further enhanced by supporting you nutrition and lifestyle, in a way that is sensible and achievable for your needs.
As an aromatherapist, with long-standing clients, Zarah is familiar with clinical practice, and can effectively use essential oils where indicated.
Zarah completed a Betonica School of Herbal Medicine diploma, a four-year course covering Anatomy & Physiology, Pathology, Phytochemistry, Materia medica, Botany, Pharmacology and Nutrition and 500 hours of clinical practice. Her training is recognised as degree level and she is a member of the prestigious National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH).
With such varied, vast and interesting subject matter, she is dedicated to continuous learning from experts in her field, nature, and the plants themselves.
For her own health and spiritual growth, Zarah regularly practises Setsudo Ki Aikido. She also highly values being outside, finding great reverence in what nature teaches us.
